Eight in the Rough race!

Another successful race sponsored by Montrail!

Eight in the Rough is a trail race held in Glenwood, NY - a challenging race of twists and turns, single track - its not flat, and its not dry. My kind of race. The logo they have on their shirts "What happens in the woods, stays in the woods" Love it.

This race has been growing in numbers every year which shows not only how popular running has become but how popular trail running is becoming.

My purpose was to bring the Montrail shoes to the runners to show them our line as well as demo shoes for the run (or a warm up!). I was surprised at how many wore the Montrail shoes for the race for the first time trying them on. Gear for Adventure, which is an outdoor store in the Buffalo area, was at the race as well (they carry Montrail! ).

What I enjoy most about going to these races is to hear experiences, share "trail stories" and also get feedback regarding shoes they are wearing or shoes they would like to wear. Love the vibe of the runners!

My boys participated in the race while I was their cheerleader. It's good to take the "observer" role ....you learn from both sides!

Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of this race. And thanks for all who tried on the Montrail shoes....glad to help your feet on the rugged trail.
