Health, Snow, its all good....

Girls after a cool run, having some java! Love that part!

Remember this one? The blizzard? Fond memories!

Well, woke up to snow, and loving it! Woke up to a healthy house, and really loving that! All the kiddos back in school and out we go....slap on the Montrail Streak, the jacket, hat, gloves....

So, we had a low number of runners on our Friday run. Not sure if it was the illness that has been tackling our neighborhood or the fear of snow. 30 degrees out, and how do we dress for that? Well, we are so fortunate to have all the gear to accommodate all temps - the problem is dressing to warm. So, a simple formula, add 20 degrees to the temp, and dress for that...that is how much your body will warm up. If dressed too warm you will sweat, and get chilled and that is not a good picture. You will be amazed at how warm you do get, yes, even on snowy days! Bring a Buff, or some type of neck warmer to wear over your mouth until you're warmed up. It is invigorating running in cool temps!

Snow, winter running is wonderful, peaceful, serene - and our winters can be very gloomy and dark in Central New York. So....lets step outside that comfort zone and get out of the hibernation. And what about those wonderful coffee's and hot teas after our runs? Loved those dark canal runs only to end up at the coffee joint at the end!

Looking forward to the next snowy run with alot of tough chics in a winter wonderland! We're not afraid of the snow, are we?
