The cross training of an Ultramom...
Rest days...hmmmm, now that is a relative word depending on who it is. For a Mom, rest day is "taking care of other business..which does not require sitting on your butt" So, today, my rest day is laundry, dishes, dusting, bills, organizing...reaching, pulling, pushing, scrubbing..." its all work, all movement.
Never get agitated with rest days...enjoy them, take care of stuff that has been in much need...reminiscent the runs and know they will be there when you get back. Know that the day off is really a day of rebuilding - both mentally and physically.
Looking forward to a nice trail run tomorrow...for now, this house is my crosstraining - and I will savor it for today - can't say I love it though!
