A successful weekend of running! Saturday I ran roads and Sunday the trails in 90+ degree weather...as tough as the trails are, I just love them. Single track trails are the best!
When on the trails, I'd almost prefer to throw out the gps and enjoy the full zen of it all. This was not an easy trail, some unbelievable climbs going both up and down and very very technical - time on your feet is the number one importance....pace is easy. So, I enjoyed some great running with two of the ultra guys, Both Bill and Ed. They both are like "boyscout" personalities. I, on the other hand, am smiling and talkative! We all ran out of water with 5 miles to go which was not fun...but managed to finish strong. 40 miles for me that day...as hard as it was, can't wait to go back!
